Staining Pattern
Store at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze. Return to 2–8 °C immediately after use. Do not use after
expiration date indicated on the vial label. Storage conditions other than those specified above
must be verified by the user.
Storage and Stability
This reagent has been prepared from the supernatant of cell culture. As it is a biological product,
reasonable care should be taken when handling it.
Warnings and Precautions
This reagent contains sodium azide. A Material Safety Data Sheet is available upon request or
p80 is encoded by a hybrid gene that occurs as a result of the chromosomal translocation, t(2;5)
(p23;q35). The protein consists of the amino terminus of the nucleophosmin (NPM) gene fused
to the catalytic domain of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Full-length ALK is a 1620 amino
acid protein that exhibits 57% amino acid identity to leukocyte tyrosine kinase (LTK). The mature
form of ALK is a 200 kD glycosylated single chain molecule that occurs on the surface of cell
membranes and probably acts as a ligand receptor.
