• The first step in assembly is to assemble a proper base. The greenhouse must
be properly supported to help prevent property damage and injury in the event of
strong winds or inclement weather. Wind and ground conditions may vary from
site to site, and may affect the practicality and effectiveness of anchoring methods
substantially.
• Be certain to check with local authorities to obtain all required building permits
and to familiarize yourself with any building codes that may apply.
• Decide on a location for the greenhouse. The location should be a level, well-lit
area that is sheltered from the wind. The door of the greenhouse should not open
towards the prevailing wind, if possible.
1.
2.
Excavate an area for the base of the greenhouse. The area must be 4’ 6” wide by
1
3
6’ 5” long by 2 / ” – 2 / ” deep. The floor of the hole must be level and square. The
2
4
diagonal dimensions, from corner to corner, should each be 7’ 10”.
Assemble the Base outside the hole as shown below. Use Base Bolts (60), Base
Nuts (61), and Connectors (59) to secure the pieces together.

3.
With assistance, lower the Base into the hole. The diagonal dimensions, from out-
side corner to outside corner, must be equal for the base to be square.
4.
5.
Fill the hole around the outside of the base with soil.
This base will need to be filled with about 10-11 cubic feet of gravel or another ap-
propriate fill material (not provided). The gravel should reach up to about / ” – / ”

• Unless noted otherwise, all frame parts will be attached using the bolts
(43) and Nuts (52) provided. bolts should all be assembled with their heads
1
facing the outside of the greenhouse. tighten Nuts only about / turn past
4
finger-tight; be careful not to overtighten.
• lay out all parts by number prior to assembly.
• An assistant or an appropriate support (not included) will be useful to keep
the partially assembled parts upright during assembly. An assistant should
be used to assemble the crown pieces to the rest of the frame.
• Assemble on a clear, calm day. Wind may damage the Greenhouse and will
make assembly difficult.

2.
Lay all Floor Plates (16, 17, 34) out on top of the base with the flanges facing the
outside of the greenhouse as shown above. Make sure that the Front Floor Plate
(17) is on the side that you want your door to be located.
There are four Corner Studs (1, 29) to be attached to the Floor Plates (16, 17, 34),
the end with two holes should be at the bottom. As explained below, attach Left-
hand Corner Studs (1) on the outside of the front-left and rear-right corner using
two Bolts each Stud. Attach the Right-hand Corner Studs (29) on the outside of
the two remaining corners, also as explained below.
To attach the corner studs, as shown
to the right: 1) slide a Hold Down
Connector (55) up under the rail and
over the end of the Bolt (43), then 2)
secure it using a Nut (52). Use two
Hold Down Connectors for each Cor-
ner Stud.

Do not tighten them yet. While making sure that the profiles of the parts are ori-
ented as shown to the right, slide the slot on the Door Rail (14)
over the heads of the bolts on the Top Doorway Beam. Align the
right edge of the Door Rail on the Doorway Beam, then tighten
the Nuts.

Attach a Side Ceiling Plate (36) flat against the inside of two Corner Studs (1,29).
Make sure that the gutter on the Side Ceiling Plate is oriented correctly, see figure
A inset. At this point, the completed section of the frame will likely need support.
Attach the second Ceiling Plate the same way.
Attach a Corner Bracket (13) at the inside top of each Corner
Stud (1,29) so that the bracket faces upwards, see diagram
to the right. Leave the upper holes of the two rear Corner
Brackets (13) empty to allow the rear brace to be attached
to those holes in the next step.
7.
Attach the Rear Brace (21) to the inside of the two Corner
Brackets (13) that are over the Rear Floor Plate (16). The
flange on the Rear Brace should face inward. Attach each
end to the upper hole on the Corner Bracket (13). (See figure A.)

Attach the Top Doorway Beam (12) and Door Rail (14)
assembly to the outside (opposite the Crown) of the Front-
Right and Front-Left Crown Beams (2, 3). The rounded
edge on the Door Rail should face upward.
3.
4.
Attach the Rear Crown Beams (4,5) to the Crown (35) in
the same fashion as the Front Crown Beams in step 1.
Attach a Corner End Cap (47) onto the outer end of each
Crown Beam (2-5). Cover the gaps between the Crown Beams (between 2-3 & 4-5)
with a Peak Cap (54) in each. You may desire to use some silicone (not included)
to secure the Peak Caps (54) in place.
5.

Install the Left and Right Doorway Studs (6, 7) to the outside of the frame so that
they rest flat against the frame. Their orientation should be the same as shown
above. Slide a Bolt (43) into each slot for later Front Brace (23) assembly. Slide a
Hold-Down Connector (55) under the base and over the Bolt at each bottom con-
nection, do not secure with a Nut (52) until the next step.
Remove the bottom Bolt from the Corner Brackets (13) at the front of the greenhouse.
Install the Front Diagonal Braces (25) with their flanges facing inward to the bottom
hole of the Brackets on the inside using Bolts (43). Attach the bottom of the Front
Diagonal Braces (25) to the Bolt left exposed on the Floor Plate (17) from the last
step. (See figure c.)
7.
Remove next bolt up from the front Corner Brackets (13). Connect the Front Braces
(23) to the exposed hole. Connect the loose ends of the Front Braces (23) to the
Doorway Studs (6, 7), using the Bolts (43) included in the Doorway Studs (6, 7) in
step 5, above. (See figure c.)
8.
Attach the Door Slide Support (19) to the Front-Left Crown Beam (3) using the Long
Door Support Bolt (38) and Nut (52), with the Door Support
Spacer (39) between the Support and the Stud. (See figure c,

9.
The frame should now rest square. Measure diagonally from cor-
ner to corner at the top. If the measurements are not equal, adjust
the frame as needed until square. Some Nuts (52) may need to
be temporarily loosened to adjust the frame properly.

to the heads of the Bolts through the Window Pane to allow the Nuts to thread on
properly.
5.
6.
Attach the Window Brace (51) to the Bottom Window Frame (32) using two Window
Screws (45). The holes on the Window Brace (51) should face away from the win-
dow.
Slide the top edge of the Top Window Frame (33) into the slot at
the top of the Crown (35), see illustration to the right. The win-
dow should be aligned with the Window Brace (51) underneath
it. Slide the window into place over the Window Support Beam

8.
9.
Loosen the Nuts (52) holding theWindow Support Beam (15a/15b) in place and slide
the Window Support Beam (15a/15b) up to touch the window. Secure it in place.
Repeat steps 1-8 for the other window.
Assembling the door
the door is assembled using the door Screws (44). the Screws thread
directly into the rounded portions of the parts in the center of the doors.
