When your guitar connects with the console successfully, one of
the four indicators will be illuminated to indicate the controller
number.

Knob of the
Effects Switch
Grasp the little white knob on the top of the Effects Switch then
gently pull outwards and be careful not to lose it. Now grasp the
faceplate Release Button and squeeze both buttons together
while lifting upwards.
Insert PS2 gameport plug into PS2 if playing PS2 and insert USB
plug into PS3 if playing PS3. Then power on your game console.
Note: Do not insert USB and Gameport plugs at the same time!
If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please repeat steps 1 to 3 to ensure
you are doing things properly.
Tips:
If it still isn't working, please double check another Guitar controller on your
console to make sure the console is working OK.
