PRO SW-14 12-Inch 100-Watt Subwoofer
The subwoofer has a down-firing 12-
inch driver with a dual 2-inch voice
coil. You can connect both stereo
channels to a single subwoofer.
CHOOSING A LOCATION
FOR THE SUBWOOFER
Because low frequencies are much
less directional than other sounds, you
can use a single subwoofer for both
stereo channels and you can put the
subwoofer almost anywhere within
your listening area. However, to sim-
plify connections, it is usually best to
put the subwoofer between the left
and right stereo speakers.
Your Optimus PRO SW-14 12-Inch
100-Watt Subwoofer is designed to
add the dramatic realism of solid bass
response (below 150 Hz) to many
speaker systems that lack the ability
to reproduce these frequencies on
their own. The subwoofer’s bass reflex
design provides clean bass response
in the crucial bottom octave of the au-
dible range.
The subwoofer’s effect is most dra-
matic when it is used with stereo
speakers such as RadioShack PRO-
7s and PRO-77s. The stereo speakers
reproduce the high, midrange, and up-
per bass frequencies, while the sub-
woofer reproduces the low bass
frequencies. This results in height-
ened presence and clarity across the
entire audio range.

MAINTENANCE
Your Optimus PRO SW-14 12-Inch 100-Watt Subwoofer is an example of superior
design and craftsmanship. The following suggestions will help you care for the sub-
woofer so you can enjoy it for years.
Keep the subwoofer and cabinet dry. If they get wet, wipe them im-
mediately. Liquids might contain minerals that can corrode electronic
circuits and harm the finish on the cabinet.
Keep the subwoofer away from dust and dirt, which can cause pre-
mature wear of parts.
Wipe the subwoofer cabinet occasionally with a cloth dampened with
CLEANER
furniture polish. This will help keep it looking new. Do not use harsh
chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
Caution: You might permanently damage your subwoofer enclo-
sure’s grille or speaker elements by cleaning them with a vacuum
cleaner. Instead, use a feather duster or a soft cloth.
Modifying or tampering with your subwoofer’s internal components can cause a
malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. If your subwoofer is not operating as
it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
