6. Preparing the radio for use
Carefully remove the radio from the packaging. Do not drop
the radio! Otherwise it could be damaged beyond repair.
6.1. Inserting the batteries
If the radio is turned on: Press the on/off switch once.

Take the cover off the battery compartment on the
back of the radio. To do this pull the cover down.
Open the battery compartment.

Place two AAA/LR03/Micro batteries in the battery
compartment. Please insert the batteries in the bat-
tery compartment as shown in the picture.
Close the battery compartment again.

Slide the cover to its original position. You should
hear a click when the cover is moved into the proper
positioned. Now the radio is ready for operation.

In order to obtain maximum performance from the radio:
always replace both batteries.
6.2. Positioning or hanging the radio
You can either stand the radio or hang it …
To place the radio in standing position using the stand
included in delivery:
Place the radio in the stand included in delivery. Only
place the radio on a level, scratchproof, non-slip surface.
To hang the radio using the suction hook included in
delivery:
Press the suction hook onto a smooth, clean, non-oily
surface. Suitable surfaces include tiled walls or mirrors.

Please make sure that the selected surface is smooth,
clean and free from oil. Otherwise the suction hook could
loose traction and the radio could fall down. is could
cause the radio to be damaged beyond repair!

Subsequently hang the radio on the suction hook us-
ing the eyelet.

If you want to remove the suction hook again: Carefully
pull the suction hook from the surface.

7. Radio operation
7.1. Receiving radio stations
To receive a radio station:
Turn on the radio by pressing the on/off switch.

Press the scan button to scan for the next available
radio station.
Each time you press the scan button, the radio will
scan for the next available station.
To return to the first received radio station: Press the
Reset button once.
Adjust the volume by pressing the buttons Volume+
or Volume–.

7.2. Improving radio station reception
e radio has an integrated antenna for radio reception.
Simply turn the radio until reception of the radio station
has improved.
8. Turning the radio off
Press the on/off switch once to turn off the radio.

9. Cleaning the radio
Clean the radio casing only using a slightly damp cloth. To
remove persistent dirt, add a few drops of mild dishwashing
liquid to the damp cloth. When cleaning the device, make
sure that no moisture seeps into the radio!

If moisture enters the radio, it could cause electric shock
and a fire!
10. Troubleshooting
10.1. The radio is not functioning at all
Make sure the batteries have been inserted in the bat-
tery compartment according to the picture.

e batteries may be old. If this is the case, replace the
batteries.
10.2. No reception or poor reception quality
Press the scan button to scan for a radio station with bet-
ter reception.

10.3. No sound
Press the Volume+ button to increase the volume.
10.4. Other malfunctions

11. Disposing of the radio
Do not dispose of the radio in the household waste!
Please contact those responsible for waste management in
your city or community and ask how to properly dispose
of electronic devices.
ôNote:
You should remove all batteries before disposing of the
radio. Do not dispose of the batteries in the household
waste! Return the used batteries to an appropriate re-
cycling collection center. Used batteries can usually be
returned to the store in which they were bought.
