IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS  
When using electrical appliances,  
basic precautions should always be  
followed, including the following:  
10. Place unit well clear of heat sensitive  
surfaces and where necessary place on a  
suitable stable inflammable surface.  
1. Keep combustible materials such as  
drapes and other furnishing away from  
heater.  
11. Do not run the cord under carpeting  
or cover the cord with rugs, runners or  
the like.Arrange cord away from traffic  
areas and where it will not be tripped over.  
2.The heater must NOT be located  
immediately below a socket outlet.  
12.To prevent a possible fire, allow ample  
space around the heater (at least 1.7m at  
front and 0.5m at the rear, top and sides)  
and do not block air inlets or outlets in  
any manner. Check the openings from  
time to time for accumulated dust. Ensure  
long shag carpet does not obstruct air  
flow under unit  
3. Extreme caution is necessary when this  
heater is used by or near children or  
invalids.  
4.Young children should be supervised to  
ensure they do not play with the heater.  
5. Important – this heater is intended for  
floor use only. Do not mount on ceiling or  
walls.  
13.To disconnect heater switch the  
control setting to the OFF position, then  
switch off at the power outlet prior to  
removing the plug from its outlet.  
6. Do not leave heater unattended.Always  
switch off the heater at the controls and  
at the power outlet then unplug heater  
from the power outlet when not in use.  
14. Do not insert or allow foreign objects  
to pass through the element guard as this  
may cause an electric shock, fire or  
damage the heater.  
7. Do not operate any heater with a  
damaged cord or plug, or if heater has  
been dropped or damaged in any manner.  
Return heater to your nearest service  
centre for examination, electrical or  
mechanical adjustment or repair.  
15. Do not touch hot metal surfaces.  
16. Do not allow power cord to contact  
hot metal surfaces. Do not operate heater  
with the cord hanked or wound around  
any part of the heater  
8. Do not use outdoors.This heater is not  
intended for commercial use such as  
construction sites.  
17. Set the control setting to the OFF  
position then Unplug and allow heater to  
cool down before cleaning or storing.  
9.This heater is not intended for use in  
wet or moist locations such as bathrooms  
or laundry areas. Do not immerse or  
allow liquids to be spilt on heater.  
18. Do not use the heater with a  
programmer, timer or any other device  
that switches the heater on automatically,  
since a fire risk exists if the heater is  
covered or positioned incorrectly.

19. Use this heater only as described in  
this instruction manual.Any other use not  
recommended by the manufacturer may  
cause fire, electric shock or injury and  
voids all warranties.  
HOWTO OPERATE  
1. Remove your heater from its carton,  
unwind the cord to its full length.  
2. Remove any element supports Guards  
(ie foam or paper packing) by removing  
the front guard screws , lift the guard  
outwards, support and remove element  
supports. Return the guard to the normal  
position and replace screws.  
20.Always move the heater with the  
handle provided.  
21. Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug,  
control settings, air inlets and outlets and  
main housing for any damage. If found  
damaged in any way, immediately cease  
use of the heater and return to

instructions before plugging the unit into  
the 230-240Volt supply.

22.The installation of a residual current  
device (safety switch) is recommended to  
provide additional safety protection when  
using electrical appliances. It is advisable  
that a safety switch with a rated residual  
operating current not exceeding 30mA  
be installed in the electrical circuit. See  
your electrician for professional advice.  
5. Place the heater on a level surface in a  
stable position. Make certain the heater  
element control switch is in the OFF  
position.  
6. Plug the power cord into a 240Volt  
outlet, the red indicator light will  
illuminate when the power outlet is  
switched on.  
7. Use the switch settings on the top  
housing of the heater to switch the heater  
to the desired setting.  
NEVER OPERATETHE HEATER  
WITHOUTTHE FRONT GRILL  
SECURELY IN POSITION.  
Temperature Settings  
1.The heater has 3 heat settings.  
2.The heater has a Turbo fan setting that  
will assist in distributing heat around the  
room quicker.  
Note:There is a tip over switch on the base.When  
the heater tips over, it will turn off automatically.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE  
• Always turn off the heater at the main  
controls and then switch off at power  
outlet before unpluging the heater  
before cleaning  
• Use only a clean, dry cloth to clean the  
external surfaces of the heater only.  
• Do not attempt to remove the front grill  
of the heater. The front grill is designed  
to hinge outwards only and never to be  
removed completely  
• Use a vacuum cleaner regularly to  
remove dust and fluff from the element  
and grill.  
• If the unit has accumulated dust around  
the elements and grill that cannot be  
removed with the use of a vacuum  
cleaner, have a qualified service agent  
clean the unit. DO NOT operate the  
heater in this condition.  
• Do not attempt to open the case of the  
heater at anytime, there are no  
customer serviceable parts inside.  
• When not in use, pack the heater in its  
original box for best protection and  
store in a cool, clean and dry location.
